Registration Night.

As I'm sure you are aware by now. Monday night is Junior Registration night down at the club. It starts at 6pm and it's a great opportunity to meet up prior to the season starting and get your name down to play and more importantly PAY YOUR SUBS.

If you didn't receive the mailshot then it's because we don't have your details. If we don't have your details it's because you probably didn't come to registration night and fill out a registration form.

If you can't make it, don't worry. Download the form below and send it in along with a cheque for your subs.

Please be aware that places are limited in each age group due to the numbers we are safely able to deal with on training nights so it's very much a case of first come first served.

If you are feeling really efficient download the form and fill out before coming down on Monday night to save time. Depending on the version of Adobe Acrobat you have you can even fill it in online and email it.

Senior Pre-season Training Dates

Ben Rhydding Cricket club have once again secured the Indoor Cricket nets at Westville House School, Ilkley as venue for Pre Season practice for the forthcoming 2008 cricket season.

Nets will be held on Sunday afternoons starting at 2:00pm to 3:30pm over the following Sundays

March 16th

March 23rd

March 30th

April 6th

April 13th

As usual there will be a Sub as we have to pay to use the facilities. This year the cost will be £5.00 per person, due to the cost of hiring the venue we are unable to offer a concessionary fee.

Junior Pre-season Nets - UPDATED AGAIN.

A thousand apologies to anyone who was affected by the problems with the first indoor junior nets. There was a mix-up with the bookings that only came to light at the very last moment. Please note that there are amended times now for the nets which are shown below (basically, everything has moved on one hour).

The net originally planned for Friday 21 March (Good Friday) has been cancelled. All the others remain the same.

Timings for the evening will work out like this:

Under 11’s and U13’s 7:15pm -8pm.

Under 15’s.8pm-9pm

Under 17’s.9pm-10pm

The cost for the nets, per player, are £20 for the 7 nets. It will not be possible to pay for individual nets on the night. When you arrive for your first net please bring a cheque for £20 or if it is cash please put it in an envelope with your name written on the front. If you do not bring the money YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO NET! We are not going to hear the words "I'll bring it next week" at The Rhydding this year. Rant over. Sorry. Well, we're not running a charity you know.

AWSCL 2008 League Fixtures Announced

The Airedale & Wharfedale Senior Cricket League have released their 2008 fixture schedules for Divisions A-C. For full details of the first and second team fixtures please click the fixtures link on the left of the screen.

The league season gets underway on Saturday 19th April 2008. Ben Rhydding Cricket Club 1st team play away at Horsforth. The 2nd team host Upper Wharfedale at Coutances Way. Both games are scheduled to start at 1:00pm

Please note the first four and the final four games of the season will start at 1:00pm.

Rhydding Draw Alwoodley in the Cup

Ben Rhydding Cricket Club has been drawn to play Alwoodley Cricket Club in the first round of the 2008 Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket League Cup Competition. The 1st team, playing in the Waddilove Cup have been drawn to play at home. The 2nd Team, playing in the Birtwhistle Cup will travel to Alwoodley.

The matches are to be played on Sunday 18th May 2008 with a 2:00pm start.

The draw was made at the AWSCL Annual General Meeting on 20th November 2007. You can see the draw in full on the league website.
